FAQs.

  • Any artworks that are sent to you unframed, require a little extra care until they are placed in a frame. Particularly pencil drawings or prints.

    Paintings

If you have purchased a painted artwork, there is not much you need to do. It will arrive to you in a protective wrap inside a travel safe box. All you need to do is unpack it and hang it straight on the wall. Whether it is framed or unframed.

If you cannot hang it straight away, be sure to keep it in its packaging somewhere safe, until it is hung.

    Drawings and prints

These art works are often sent unframed. Meaning they will be sent in a tissue paper wrap inside a postage tube.

If you need to store the artwork for a while, leave it in the packaging it was sent to you in. Take it to be framed in this packaging. Your framer will be best to handle it from there. If you have already discarded the packaging, keep the artwork flat in a plastic packet out of reach.

Do not touch the art itself. This can cause smudging and softening of the illustrative finish. All original pencil artworks are finished with a clear permanent fixative or varnish, but to be safe, it is best not to touch.

Prints are a little more robust. But err on the side of caution.

    General care

For all artworks, your aim is to prevent the artwork from being crinkled and the overall quality from being altered. Touch them minimally, keep out of direct sunlight and away from wet, damp areas.

  • Yes, we do. Because sometimes it is just too hard to find a gift for someone.

We believe the gift of art is the most thoughtful gift you can give someone. And a gift voucher allows the person to pick the art piece for themselves.

    You can’t go wrong.

  • Each artwork is individual and has different aspects considered when pricing. Of a general rule similar size artworks usually are within similar price ranges. However, this does change the more intricate a piece is to create.

No two pieces are the same and will therefore be a unique purchase for you.

Original artworks, that are produced into prints, will differ in price from the prints themselves. An original artwork will always be a higher price. And considered a collector’s piece.

In short, there is no set rule available for the way art evolves.

All artworks are priced within the online shop.

  • In short the answer is yes.

Head to the commission tab for more details. There you will find the process explained.

  • In general, it is not recommended. Art is created in layers. Starting over a large area and then gradually layering finer details over the top. To change an artwork requires a lot of consideration. In order to ensure the new paint blends seamlessly.

Communicate with us and we will discuss the situation and see whether your change can be achieved. Additional fees may apply.
